Privacy policy

What the app can see

Image Routine runs inside the macOS App Sandbox. It can only read the images and folders you explicitly open, drag in, or choose in a file dialog, and can only write to the destination you pick when exporting. It has no access to your Photos library, contacts, location, camera, microphone or any other file on your Mac.

What happens to your images

Images are processed in memory on your Mac using Apple’s Core Image, ImageIO and Vision frameworks. Nothing is uploaded or shared. Source files are never modified. The app refuses to write to an input file even when you choose the Replace policy.

What is stored on your Mac

Saved Routines and your preferences (appearance, focus-on-add, last export settings) are stored locally in the app’s sandbox container. You can delete them by removing the app. Per-image crop overrides made during a batch are discarded when the export finishes.

Network access

The app makes no network connections. It does not include analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or update-checking code. Updates are delivered only through the Mac App Store.

Data Apple may collect

If you have opted in to share diagnostics with app developers in macOS System Settings, Apple may forward anonymised crash reports to us through App Store Connect. Apple’s own privacy policy governs App Store purchases and downloads.

Children

Image Routine is not directed at children under 13 and, in any case, collects no personal information from anyone.

This website

This site is static and sets no cookies. If it is hosted on a third-party service, that service may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, time of request) for security purposes under its own policy.

Changes and contact

If a future version of the app ever collects data, this policy and the App Store privacy label will be updated first, and the change will be described in the release notes. Questions about privacy: imageroutineapp@tallbottech.com.au.
